The below post has obviously been posted by someone who has lost the meaning of the word ‘fun’, which is what games are for: fun! I also tried the demo and I had a lot of fun playing it, as I’m sure a lot of you will too. For those of you who are looking for the ultimate star wars fighting/action game, this is it – the old days of jedi knight are gone, there will never be a star wars game with that much depth in the fighting system ever again. This is because to the average casual gamer out there (who are the biggest market) these games are too complex and too hard to get to grips with, so they just don’t bother with them. Lucasarts know this also, and so every game they produce will be like The Force Unleashed – accessible to all…(btw, the lightsaber in the jedi knight games was also assigned to one button, but we’ll say nothing about that…)

(Three) Force (Powers) Unleashed

So having downloaded and played the Force Unleashed demo this week we’re not happy with the way things have turned out.

Didn’t we play some Star Wars games about ten years ago on the PC that had ten more force powers than the upcoming game?

We are surprised that Lucas Arts can so royally fuck things up with so much experience in the genre!

How can light-saber combat be implemented properly with one button to swing? Wasn’t that the best part to your Jedi Academy games? Why is it only possible to throw your light-saber at someone when your holding them in the air? Why does the game turn into forge when you pick up an object? Finally why is it so fucking difficult to aim something you’ve picked up?

All questions we’ll never get an answer to i’m sure. Instead we get a game where your sole combat choices weilding the power of the force and the dark side are slash, zap, (aim for 10 seconds while being shot) throw.

Little content for Little Big Planet due to Little problem with Region Locking UPDATED

Or should we say big problem with region locking. Despite the PS3 usually being 100% region free, this will not be the case in their upcoming ‘Little Big’ title. The reason; there will be seperate servers for seperate countries. The developer has said they are able to bring content between servers (the best levels). Alas Americans won’t be able to play Japanese cock levels, Japanese can’t play Europes breast levels and the Australians are fucked.

*Colour us wrong it turns out the manager who told us this yesterday was ‘confused’ in fact LBP will be totally region free… phew…

360 iPhone apps

Another semi useful app for the iPhone.. It seems M$ have put a stop on people charging for their xbox iPhone apps (prob so they can charge for themselves.)

Anyway we downloaded both ‘iLive’ and ’360 pwn 773′ the latter probably spelt wrong (who gives a fuck shite name anyway.)

Neither are very good; allowing you to check who’s online, see their gamerscore, what their playing and their motto…

Really to us this begs the question what can you use this for? You can’t send messages to the people online or compare gamerscore. I suppose you could ring them to say ‘Hey your on Live!? Wish I wasn’t in work..’

Ps3 wont make a profit. Ever

According to a post on destructoid which I can’t link cause of this shitty iPhone (linked on computer)

The ps3 has lost more selling the ps3 at a loss than they made during the 5 year peak of the ps2. Wow an expensive venture then for our Japanese friends.

Had they shipped with a decent controller with analogue sticks that can be used for first person shooters, maybe some rumble functionality, a bit of weight and triggers on the back they could have reduced the loss through more sales.. Then again their still selling at a loss…

Force unleashed demo. Today

It has arrived, I won’t be downloading it as microsoft rroded my 360. I’m sure somebody else will talk about it.
Personallly I think the game will be a liniar dissapointment at under 1gb the demo couldn’t be that impressive. Boycott the game if you ask me, these fuckers fire half their dedicated staff with little notice and then expect to pass on their half assed game too me!

GTA4 DLC coming this fall

It’s been announced Nico Belleck’s bollocks will be hitting the virtual sidewalk of what I assume will be an new island addon for Liberty City in the next couple of months.

Mark our words we won’t be happy unless they include:

Hijackable Planes
Push bicycles (of different varaities)
A golf course
Parachutes
New radio/ tv stations
At least one mission driving a limo

If we get all this we’d be happy to fork out 1600 ms points… Well not actually happy (happier than ps3 owners tho)
